How much do alterations cost?
Every garment is different, so we provide a quote once we’ve seen it – ideally while you’re wearing it, so we can check the fit. Simply drop in or give us a call on (03) 9191 6595.
How long will my alterations take?
Simple alterations can usually be completed on the same day. More complex alterations or repairs may take a little longer. If you have an urgent deadline, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Do you offer urgent or same-day repairs?
Yes. Many emergency clothing repairs can be completed within 1–2 hours. We recommend calling ahead so we can confirm the timing for your garment.
Can you customise my wedding dress?
Absolutely – we love customisations! If you’ve found a wedding dress that isn’t quite what you dreamed of, we can tailor it to suit you. Please call the store to book an appointment with our seamstress.
Is there a fee for a wedding dress consultation?
No. You’re welcome to book a consultation with our seamstress to discuss your options. No fees are charged unless work is completed.
What types of garments do you alter?
We alter and repair suits, jackets, trousers, jeans, dresses, skirts, bridal and bridesmaid wear, leather garments, school uniforms and curtains. We also replace zips and buttons, add patches and make cushion covers.
Where are you located and when are you open?
You’ll find us at 388 Buckley St, Essendon West VIC 3040, near the corner of Hoffmans Rd and Buckley St. We’re open Monday to Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
